Our diet plays a vital role in the maintenence of our health and preventing disease.  In the short term, poor nutrition can affect hydration level, concentration, physical performance, energy levels, cause headaches and tiredness, as well as affect our immunity and cause gastric problems.   In the longer term, over eating makes us susceptible to diseases such as diabetes, heart disease and even cancer.  Under eating may cause muscle loss / weight loss, and create a lack of resistance to disease.  Nutrient deficiency (such as vitamin deficiency) can result in conditions such as skin rashes, hair loss, bleeding gums and depression.   Therefore, it is crucial our bodies get the essential nutrients from our diet, and they are consumed in the correct quantities to ensure we maintain optimim health.

Our bodies need six essential nutrients and our diet should have a balance of:- 

§         Carbohydrate (including fibre)

§         Fats

§         Proteins

§         Vitamins

§         Minerals

§         Water 

The Healthy New You                                                            Alongside your personal training programme, I will study what you eat and make recommendations on the changes you can make, and then agree with you a healthy and balanced eating plan that will help you to achieve what you want.  

Each person is individual and I will explain the calorie requirement that you need personally to achieve your target goal and I'll show you what foods to eat so that you are getting the six essential nutrients in the correct proportions - i.e. what amount of carbohydrate, protein, fat, fruit, vegetables and fluids you need.  So, whatever your goal:- weight loss, to gain mass or just improve your health, I'll set you a nutrition plan to unleash the healthy new you!
